A great grass for full sun areas

Nullarbor Couch Grass is classed as a warm season grass, like most grasses grown in Australia. It has been researched, evaluated and trialled for the past 20 years to deliver long-lasting performance in full sun areas. This variety requires at least 5-6 hours of sunlight per day so is ideal for full sun areas, whereas if you are looking for a more shade tolerant variety, you may be better considering Sir Grange (Zeon Zoysia) or Sir Walter DNA Certified Buffalo Grass.

  • Extensively researched, trialled and tested
  • Ideal for full sun
  • Needs 5-6 hours sunlight/dayt

Hard wearing with high traffic tolerance

One of the best features of Nullabor Couch is its ability to tolerate high foot traffic from people and animals, hence its popularity across both residential and sports landscaping projects such as football and cricket grounds.

  • High traffic tolerance
  • Hard wearing
  • Rapid recovery from wear and stress

Maintenance

Nullabor Couch has higher maintenance requirements than some other grass types. For example, during the summer it is best to mow Nullabor Couch every 5-7 days to ensure it doesn’t invade where it is not wanted.

During winter, Nullabor Couch has low dormancy – this is when the grass is in a dormant state and the plant focuses resources on the roots. Consequently, it has an early start to growth after winter, and also has rapid recovery from wear and other stresses.

It’s best to apply a Lawn Solutions Australia recommended fertiliser 2-3 times per year to maintain a dense vigorous turf sward. Nullarbor Couch has good tolerance to broadleaf herbicides for weed control.

  • Low dormancy
  • Tolerant of low mowing
  • Strong horizontal leaf growth habit

Backed by a 10 Year Warranty

All Nullarbor Couch purchases big and small are accompanied with a Lawn Solutions Australia Product Warranty Certificate, to give you reassurance that you’re buying quality turf, covered by warranty.
