Do I need to remove the existing lawn before installing new turf?
Yes, it is best to remove any weeds, grass, or old lawn at least two weeks prior to installation using non-selective herbicide. While it may require additional work and repeat applications, once it has all died off, remove the weeds, grass, or old lawn. If you need a hand with preparing your lawn, our team offer a comprehensive preparation service that will remove all the hard work and guesswork.
Can I pick up turf products directly from GoTurf?
Yes, you can pick up your turf from either our Brisbane store at 57/109 Leitchs Rd, Brendale or directly from our farm by appointment at 434 Mekins Rd, Beerburrum.
Pickup is strictly pre-order only. No walk-ins or same-day collection. All turf is cut fresh to order, so you’ll need to place your order online or by phone before arriving. Just select your pickup location when ordering.
What are the dimensions and weight of a turf slab?
A turf slab typically weighs between 15 and 20kg, depending on moisture levels and the variety, including both soil and turf.
Please note: One full pallet (50m²) weighs approximately 1000kg when dry, and significantly more when wet. Ensure your trailer or vehicle is rated for the weight you're picking up.
Do you have a minimum order quantity for delivery or pickup?
There's no minimum order for pickup or delivery; you can order exactly what you need. Delivery starts from $165.00 and is calculated based on your zone. All turf and lawn care products are available through our online store.
