Pickup details that matter
Do I need to pre-order before arriving?
Yes. All our turf is harvested fresh to order, meaning your order must be placed and confirmed before arrival. Same-day unconfirmed pickups are not available, but our team can arrange your order in-store at GoTurf Brendale for the next available date.
What vehicle is suitable for turf pickup?
You will need:
- A trailer larger than 6x4 or a flat tray ute
- Adequate load capacity for pallet weight
Standard cars, small vans or undersized trailers cannot be loaded for safety reasons.
How heavy is a pallet of turf?
Pallet weight varies by variety and moisture content, but can approach up to one tonne.
Please note: One full pallet (50m²) weighs approximately 1000kg when dry, and significantly more when wet. Ensure your trailer or vehicle is rated for the weight you're picking up.
What happens if my vehicle is not suitable?
For safety reasons, we cannot load unsuitable vehicles. If your setup is not appropriate, delivery can be arranged instead. Contact the team before your scheduled pickup if plans change.
