FormBoss Surf Mist garden edging stakes

For a standard 2.44 m edging length, FormBoss recommends approximately 3 stakes, spaced about 810 mm apart.

Additional stakes may be needed for retaining, narrow steps, unstable soils or other demanding applications.

• Choose a tapered stake for standard edging up to 185 mm high, or an angled stake for 230 mm edging or higher-strength work.
• For ordinary 2.44 m lengths, place about 3 stakes, approximately 810 mm apart.
• Use a rubber mallet to drive each stake into the ground alongside the edging.
• Fit the stake beneath the rolled top lip, clamp and secure it with the manufacturer-recommended self-tapping screws below soil level.
• Allow additional stakes or fixings where site conditions, steps or retaining loads require them.

• Always wear protective work gloves when handling or cutting steel edging and stakes.
• Use appropriate eye and hearing protection when drilling, cutting or working with power tools.
• Use a rubber mallet for stakes to avoid distorting the top edge; keep sharp fixings below soil level.
• Check the selected profile, finish, gauge and all fixings before installation.
